Electrification at the heart of DS Automobiles' product strategy.
The DS brand has been involved in the ABB FIA Formula E Championship since its inception, and in July 2019, together with its partner Techeetah, won the 2018-2019 Formula E Championship title. At the same time, Jean-Eric Vergne, team driver, won the Driver’s Championship for the second time in his career.
A success story for the performance track-record of the DS E-TENSE FE19 single-seater, whose powertrain was developed by DS Performance – the sports division of the DS brand. With DS E-TENSE FE19 and DS E-TENSE FE20, DS Automobiles is the only French brand to be an official FIA manufacturer.
As a real experimentation arena for DS Automobiles, Formula E plays a key role in the electrification strategy of its production models and makes technology transfers possible. From now on, DS Automobiles will be offering all its models in electric versions under the E-TENSE label. As from 2025, all new DS creations will be offered in electric and/or rechargeable hybrid versions only.
