  • A focus on excellence

The manufacturing base needs to satisfy new requirements with respect to the environment, automotive reliability, vehicle safety, quality, and appeal, while remaining competitive. Through its 16 production centres and 15 powertrain sites, the Group is pursuing an approach based on continuous improvement in order to achieve excellence in industrial processes.. Applied in both work and management, this method is deployed across all Group entities, as well as in its relations with partners and suppliers.

  • Innovation in powertrains

France’s leading filer of patents for the ninth consecutive year in 2016, Groupe PSA is deploying innovative technologies to reduce the environmental impact of its vehicles and improve their performance. With its downsized petrol engines and new-generation diesel engines, Groupe PSA is the European leader in the drive to cut carbon emissions. The Group continues to develop plug-in hybrids and electric vehicles.

  • Optimised industrial solutions

The streamlining of vehicle platforms is key to efforts to boost Group performance. The objective is to reduce the number of platforms from six at present to two platforms for global use. Launched in 2013, EMP2 covers all global body styles for compact and family vehicles. CMP, developed by Groupe PSA and its Chinese partner Dongfeng Motors, is for compact and city vehicles. It is compatible with different types of powertrain, including electric motors.

Commercial relations built to last

The quality of the relations between Groupe PSA and its customers is at the core of the Group’s commercial organisation. These relations involve a variety of communication channels and encompass all the facets of commercial relations.

  • Distribution

Groupe PSA has a global network of 10,000 dealerships and/or approved repairers, of whom 430 belong to the Group and make up the entity PSA Retail, Europe’s second-biggest vehicle distributor with 500,000 new and used vehicles sold in 2015.

  • Financing

Banque PSA Finances, key partner to the Peugeot, Citroën and DS brands, offers a full range of made-to-measure financing, services and insurance products for both private customers and businesses. Banque PSA Finance is present in Europe, Russia, China and Latin America.

  • Replacement parts

Replacement parts are distributed by the Group brand service points, as well as through the Eurorepar Car service network (2,000 service points, 10,000 between now and 2021), as well as through the Mister Auto website.

  • Used vehicles

PSA has launched a development strategy for its second-hand vehicle business, based on B2B sales (particularly sales to its distribution network that will carry out the marketing of vehicles via the Group’s brand labels), and also direct B2C sales via its strategic partnership with Aramisauto.
The target is to double sales to reach 800,000 in 2021, with 25% outside of Europe.
