Developed in partnership with DFM (DongFeng Motors), the CMP modular platform for compact and city vehicles will gain a variant compatible with a new-generation electric powertrain. This solution will combine increased range with fast, easy charging without compromising on interior space.
-
2019
Simultaneous launch in Europe and China in 2019
-
2021
Four Peugeot, Citroën and DS models available in 2021
An intelligent powertrain for a range of body styles

A longer range of up to 450 km
With a state-of-the-art lithium-ion battery pack:
– 300 kg,
– 200 litres,
– 50 kWh of onboard energy capacity
Thanks to a new-generation heat pump operating across a broader temperature range
The operating principle involves thermodynamic exchanges between the exterior air flow and a refrigerant that compresses and expands to recover heat. This system significantly reduces the energy required for heating compared with a conventional heating system, increasing range by 50 km.
Easy charging solutions
Two fast, easy charging solutions:
- Ultra-fast charging: battery charged to 80% in 30 minutes for the day-to-day use required by the customer
Up to 12 km of driving range per minute of charging. - Fast home charging with a new-generation onboard charger (7 kW):
– range of up to 100 km in 90 minutes
– full battery charging in 8 hrs
Equipment required: wallbox
No compromises on interior space
The ingenious layout of the battery pack provides more space than the current electric offering. In this way, passenger comfort will remain unchanged and the spacious boot will include an ingenious, accessible compartment for storing the charger cable.
Comfort and boot capacity are maintained for all the occupants.
