Emergency call: rapid and effective assistance

An essential function in driver and passenger safety, the emergency call ensures immediate contact with a specialised assistance platform in the event of an accident.

  1. An SMS is sent (automatically or manually) to an assistance platform including the vehicle ID, telephone number and GPS position;
  2. An operator calls the driver immediately to review the situation, assessing the location of vehicle, the severity of the accident, the type of breakdown, etc.
  3. If the driver is unable to respond, the call is transferred automatically to the nearest emergency services.

By helping to get the emergency services as quickly as possible to the scene of the accident, PSA contributes to reducing the severity of accidents and the number of people killed on the road.
